The text you type or paste into the character counter is not sent to a server and is not stored. All counting happens in your own browser. The optional history feature saves your most recent counts only in your own browser's local storage (localStorage), and you don't share them with anyone. You can clear the history at any time.

2. Cookies and local storage

We use the browser's local storage to save your cookie choice and your count history. We also use cookies for visitor measurement and possibly for showing advertising. Read more in the cookie policy.

3. Visitor measurement

We use an analytics service (Google Analytics) to track visitor numbers and site usage. The measurement helps us improve the site. Your IP address is processed in anonymised form, and we cannot link the measurement data to an individual person.

4. Advertising

Ads may be shown on the site through a third-party ad network (such as Google AdSense). Advertising partners may use cookies to target and measure ads. You can manage ad personalisation in Google's ad settings. More information is on the advertising page.

5. Your rights

Because we do not collect identifiable personal data about you when you use the tools, we have no register from which you could be identified.
